Healthcare research

Healthcare Improvement Scotland hosts, funds, manages, undertakes and participates in all kinds of research, both primary research and secondary research

We register all our primary research activities with a central Research Governance Team. This team is responsible for making sure our research is of good quality by implementing the Research Governance Framework for Health and Community Care

DEVELOPING INNOVATIVE HEALTHCARE RESEARCH

Our vision is to be a world leader in the development of innovative research on approaches to quality improvement and evidence based healthcare. We are currently working on a research strategy that will ensure our organisation continues to promote and support research within healthcare in Scotland.

The Research Governance Team can provide information and guidance to any member of the public on our research activities.

There are currently six members of the Research Governance Team:
