Driving sustainable change
We provide the co-ordination and quality improvement expertise
to help make improvements happen using:
- our own evidence-based advice
- guidance and standards
- international evidence for improvement
- information from our scrutiny work.
We work collaboratively with the staff of
healthcare providers, partner organisations and the public to drive
improvements which can be sustained and measured.
Healthcare that is person-centered and safe
We take a lead role in co-coordinating the
work of the Scottish
Patient Safety Programme (SPSP) which aims to steadily
improve the safety of hospital care right across the
country. The Scottish Health
Councilsupports
patient focus and public Involvement by ensuring that NHS boards
listen and take account of people's views.
