Delivering Effective and Engaging Presentations
Date: August 21st, 2012.
Time: 9.30am-4.00pm
Venue: Barcelo Stirling Highland Hotel,
Stirling
It is one thing to make a presentation, it is
quite, quite another to actively engage the audience so they fully
take in your message. Highlighted on this one day will be the
critical elements which enable presentations to be truly effective
and a pleasurable experience for all!
The focus within this one day concentrated
workshop will be to confirm the essential elements of planning
which underpin any good presentation, followed by an examination of
the core messages to be portrayed and how best to get such messages
across to the audience.
The true test of effectiveness is often in the
delivery itself, therefore, we will also examine how to prepare
yourself in order to look, feel and sound confident in what you are
engaging your audience in.
Finally, in order to start to experience good
practice and learn from experience, participants will be offered
the chance to deliver a short presentation to their peers.
The day will be facilitated by Don Garford, an
independent facilitator with a strong background in the NHS in both
Scotland and England. CPD Accreditation applies.
