From wards to awards
Sponsorship deal rewards excellence

Do you know a healing hero?
As the key organisation that brings about
improvements in the quality of healthcare, it seems only right that
we’re the organisation that sponsors the Quality Champion of the
Year award at The Scottish Health Awards 2012 in November. And
that’s exactly what we’re doing – not just for this year, but for
the next three years in total.
The Scottish Health Awards are now entering their 11th year, and it
is a prestigious event organised by the Scottish Daily Record in
association with the Scottish Government. The event has been
described as “extraordinary and moving” and is a unique opportunity
to honour and celebrate the dedication and outstanding achievement
of workers in the NHS in Scotland.
Recognising professionalism
The aim of the awards is to promote excellence, and to celebrate
and recognise the devotion, professionalism and humanity of
workers. Many awe-inspiring stories of achievement are promised
from across the health service in Scotland: doctors, nurses,
therapists, volunteer and support workers – in fact, anyone who has
put their life on the line to help others.
The event will take place at the Corn Exchange, Edinburgh on
Thursday 8 November 2012. The evening will be hosted by Fred
McAulay and will take the form of a gala dinner for up to 500
guests
