Improving nutrition, improving care
Healthcare Improvement Scotland has recently completed an 18
month national improvement programme into nutritional care.
Focusing particularly on frail elderly people, our Improving nutrition, improving care programme
report sets out the advancements that are underway in our
health boards now. Along with the steps that Scotland continues to
take to ensure our nutritional care work across the country is
integrated and aligned.
We are currently in the process of updating
the 2003 “Clinical Standards for Food, Fluid and Nutritional Care
in Hospitals” and have produced a set of draft standards for
Nutritional care resources
