Healthcare Improvement Scotland Annual Report 2011

Healthcare Improvement Scotland Annual Report 2011

Extract from the Chair and CEO Foreword

It is with great pleasure that we present the first annual report produced by Healthcare Improvement Scotland.

After launching on 1 April 2011, it has been a busy period for the new organisation as we integrate all the different elements which make up Healthcare Improvement Scotland.

The result will be better support for healthcare providers in our shared drive to help them improve patient care.

This document reports on both the activity of our predecessor organisation, NHS Quality Improvement Scotland during 1 April 2010 to 31 March 2011 and how Healthcare Improvement Scotland has taken this work forward.

*Correction -In our 2011 annual report we stated that none of our Board members have been involved in any political activity within the last 5 years, however this was inaccurate as Peter Johnston was the Leader of West Lothian Council (2007-2012). This was included in the register of interests which is published on this website but, due to an oversight, was not reflected in the statement in our annual report.
