Scottish Health Council Participation Standard
Scottish Health Council Participation Standard
Background
The Participation Standard was published by
the Scottish Health Council in August 2010 and provides a way of
measuring how well NHS Boards ensure that
the public can take part in planning and providing health
services. It is one of the commitments set out in the Scottish
Government’s Better Health, Better Care: Action Plan to
develop a “mutual NHS” where health services meet the needs and
preferences of individuals.
