Chief Inspector Annual Report 2009/10

The first HEI annual report sets out the findings from inspections to acute hospitals across NHSScotland since inspections began at the end of September 2009. The report has been written for patients and the public, NHSScotland and the Scottish Government.

The report reflects what HEI found during 36 inspections to 29 acute hospitals in 14 NHS boards across Scotland from 29 September 2009 to 30 September 2010.  Of the 36 inspections completed, 30 were announced and six were unannounced. 

Scrutiny

Healthcare Improvement Scotland took over the responsibilities of NHS Quality Improvement Scotland on 1st April 2011.
