Conditions of registration
The service will operate as an independent hospital providing a range of medical and surgical healthcare services. No one under the age of 14 years to be seen or treated as an in-patient or day case. Up to a maximum of 10 in-patient places may be used for patients aged 14-16 years. To provide a maximum of 44 in-patient places. To provide out-patient clinics. A registered medical officer to be present in the service over 24 hours while the service is operating. To provide 24 hour nursing care. The service shall ensure that staff possessing the appropriate skills, training and experience are provided in sufficient numbers to ensure the safety and welfare of all service users.
