tools and techniques to help embed the COPD clinical standards in current
practice.
Costing template for pulmonary rehabilitation
Pulmonary rehabilitation, like any intervention,
must demonstrate its cost effectiveness.
There is evidence supporting the efficiency of
pulmonary rehabilitation services. However patient completions
numbers must be high and staffing levels appropriate.
The pulmonary rehabilitation costing template and accompanying
costing report have been developed to help providers plan,
organise and delivery effective and efficient pulmonary
rehabilitation services.
These tools provide NHS boards with estimates of:
- the number of people who could benefit
- the resources required to deliver the service.
The costing template should be used in conjunction with the
costing report - which gives more information on how
the template was developed.
