Neurological Health Services - NHSScotland local reports
This report presents the findings of the neurological health
services standards review panels. The results provide baseline
information about the quality of neurological health services in
NHSScotland and identify specific areas for improvement.
Background
A series of evaluation panels took place in
January and February 2012 to assess NHS boards’ performance against
the neurological health services standards.
It was important that Healthcare Improvement
Scotland took a risk based and proportionate approach to the peer
review evaluation. Rather than review NHS board performance against
all the criteria in the neurological standards, we identified 17
criteria which represented key indicators of quality improvement
for neurological health services.
