Intensive psychiatric care units
In June 2010 we completed a focused programme
of work to look at the provision of intensive psychiatric care
units (IPCUs) across Scotland.
As well as asking service providers about what
is available across the country, we also worked with partner
organisations in order to speak with a significant number of people
with lived experience of IPCUs and asked them about what works well
and what could be improved.
Our overview report details what we did and
what we found. It also contains both local and national priority
improvement areas.
