This ninth annual report describes severe maternal morbidity
fulfilling defined criteria reported from all 17 consultant-led
maternity units in Scotland in 2011. Detailed assessments of cases
of major obstetric haemorrhage (MOH) and of eclampsia, and of their
care in relation to national guidelines are reported.
