Sexual Health Services: National Overview
National Overview
This national overview reports the key themes from the review
against our sexual health standards and highlights that NHS
boards have made significant progress in:
- raising the profile of sexual health services,
- improving the individual's experience, and
- providing more suitable accommodation for clinics.
Background
The national standards for sexual health services were published
in March 2008. Peer review visits to all NHS boards in
Scotland were conducted between November 2010 and June 2011 to
assess performance against the standards.
A local report on each NHS board has already been published and
is available here.
